Each year up to eight million metric tons of plastic is dumped into the oceans, equalling to about 17.6 billion pounds. If humanity does not take action in protecting and cleaning our oceans by the year 2050, ocean plastic will outweigh all of the ocean’s fish. A couple from Sydney, however, are now giving everyday people the opportunity to make a difference with an everyday item to build a better environment for our future generations.

The family run plumbing company, FlusheD ECO, offers a potential blockage preventative initiative that can both save their customer’s money and help to clean our oceans.

FlusheD ECO

About FlusheD ECO:

Cameron and Renee Garcia have been working in plumbing for over 15 years. After seeing firsthand how damaging regular toilet paper, wipes, and other non-flushable items block toilets, pipes and end up in Australia’s oceans, the plumbing expert couple decided to make a difference and create FlusheD ECO,  a bamboo, eco-friendly toilet paper for homes and businesses.

Cameron Garcia says: “We are focused on the bigger picture. A world where our oceans are clean, and our marine life is safe. We are on a mission to help save our oceans, one roll at a time, whilst raising awareness and supporting charities to save our marine life. The recent Covid-19 pandemic has made it even more important for our family to offer our clients a better, more eco-friendly alternative toilet paper. One which we know is both better for the environment, whilst at the same time being better for sewer pipes.

We believe that our toilet paper offers a way to help prevent blockages, as opposed to some of the cheaper alternatives available. Not to mention foreign objects, tissues, makeup cleaning pads and baby wipes etc. that people think is ok to flush.”

FlusheD Eco offers both wholesale and retail service to ensure that homeowners and businesses alike can action sustainability plans and ensure an eco-friendlier option for our sewer pipes and oceans.

Renee Garcia says: “We chose 100% bamboo because 27,000 trees are being chopped down daily to make normal toilet paper. Our environmentally friendly toilet paper breaks down quickly and flows through sewer pipes with ease. In fact, it can take as little as 15 seconds, making FlusheD ECO bamboo toilet paper a great preventative option. After all, anything you can do to potentially minimise the chance of expensive pipe blockages is going to save you big money. And if you have a septic tank system, our paper is great for that too.

Our products and their packaging are all plastic free, recyclable, and environmentally friendly. Our bamboo loo paper is super soft and strong, naturally hypoallergenic, and kind to your skin. FlusheD ECO have double length rolls and 3ply thickness, which is almost double what you get from your regular supermarket brands.”

Renee Garcia

FlusheD ECO will be sponsoring a Seabin through the Seabin Project which helps to clean up our oceans. This will be placed in a Marina within Sydney, with the hope to sponsor more in the future. Cameron concludes: “We are super excited about this as it will be helping to make a difference but also show our dedication to our customers that their money is being used for so much good.” For more on this excellent initiative and environmentally friendly product visit: https://www.flushedeco.com.au
