Denim gaping, frozen ankles, long legs, little bums, big booties, wide hips, chunky calves, no hips, short legs, wobbly bellies, girls, ya’ll pay attention!
If you’re not a denim model, finding the perfect pair of jeans can be tiring, frustrating and a lot of the time result in returning to the comfort of black tights. However, it seems denim designers are hearing our cries of ‘Why don’t jeans fit me properly!?’ and finally doing something about it!
These three women are the same age group, similar height, the same leg length, the same size but these are not, all the same jeans. Introducing, (drum roll, please) top designer Levi’s ‘Curve ID’ as well as Bettina Liano’s ‘Curvy’ range of denim.
Whilst these lovely ladies all require the same size, their bodies are completely different. The Slight Curve from Levi, what the slighter girl is wearing, is for those of you with little hips. They hug your small frame without the need to go to a smaller size and cutting off your circulation. Lady no.2 is sporting the Demi Curve in the same size. Due to her bigger hips she requires denim with a slightly bigger arc, which moulds to her frame and prevents gaping around her waist. And finally, on the end we have the Bold Curve, which compliments her kardashian caboose effortlessly.
Not to press the point, actually scratch that, to definitely press the point, these women are the same size, but simply wearing different curved jeans and look amazing. We must thank Bettina Liano and Levi for their somewhat delayed but never the less appreciated positive reception of curves, that are helping all you bootilicious babes and skinny minnies, in saying goodbye to gaping, wrinkling and length issues, forever.
