This March is Art Month Sydney and we are up for an exciting month of citywide festivities of contemporary art.

March is the time for creative exploration with this not-to-profit festival, supported by the Australian Art Events Foundation.

Art Fairs Australia has brought us four contemporary art packed weeks of dynamic exhibitions, workshops, panel discussions, artist studio visits, tours, precinct nights and much more.

From emerging to established artists, to the well known and down right notorious, the talks sessions will have you inspired.

Discuss what it means to produce art; how our creative selves can change the way we look at the world and life itself.

Don’t forget to view the amazing eye-opening exhibitions that will leave you inspired and make an impact on the way you see art itself.

Let Art Month Sydney be your tour guide this month to discover Sydney’s most art cultured neighbourhoods.

Tours will be guided walking tours and Art Maps participants can follow – who said Melbourne was the most ‘arty’ city in Aus! Lets uncover more of this in Sydney!

Art Month has a little something for everyone including for those who want to learn something new and creative.

Workshops will be held that offer those ‘guerrilla style art’ in the streets, or you can even watch the art being created!

What I find the most exciting about art is not necessarily the finished product, but the process of creating – how the artist got to where they did and what inspired them, whether they made mistakes and if those mistakes were the reason their artwork was so captivating, interesting and beautiful.

Kicking things off on March 1, you can visit Art Month Sydney online to see what is on the itinerary and get amongst some of the crafty joys of Art Month Sydney!
