Toyota has lifted the veil on their latest concept hybrid and plug-in-hybrid SUV. We invite you to take a peek at the Prologue, Toyota’s all-new C-HR SUV.

The C-HR Prologue concept design instantly catches the eye. Expanding on the original C-HR’s bold design features, the next generation Prologue is even bolder. Side by side the Prologue looks like a meatier version of it’s predecessor with an overall chunkier look, smoother lines and beefed up tires resulting in a crisper, ultra-modern look. The Prologue design feels more precise. The shorter overhangs and slimmed down edges lend a sophistication that makes the new C-HR appear sportier, stronger and more stylish.

Consumers celebrated the bold design of the original C-HR, embracing the strong visual features of the small SUV. The future forward design of the Prologue takes this bold aesthetic even further. A smaller grille opening at the front with more svelte headlights atop enhance the futuristic appearance of the new concept design. The predatory, hammerhead front gives the Prologue a sharklike appearance that enhances the sporty aesthetic of this compact SUV. Optional additions of sulpher, metallic silver and recycled carbon black detailing add contrast and an extra touch of luxury to the outer design. Purposefully designed to make the new C-HR stand out among its competitors, anyone driving this version of the C-HR is sure to turn heads. Toyota wants you to make a statement with their unique tri-colour accents.

Toyota’s determination to achieve its goals of carbon neutrality lives in the new C-HR Prologue. Coming in both hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions, the new edition C-HR gives you the ability to choose how you go carbon neutral.

You won’t have to forget the good things about the original C-HR with this improved version. Enthusiasts will be pleased to know the new concept design is true to its original DNA and is very much recognizably C-HR.The Prologue has the same futuristic looks, the same compact design and bold style. It’s just a slightly bolder, more futuristic and sportier version of its earlier self.

Toyota wanted to go further than they’d ever gone before with the Prologue. More compact but with increased interior space, the Prologue fits the bill of a small SUV without skimping on space inside. The boldly solid design makes the Prologue look bigger. More sparing angles and smoother lines make it more compact, while clever design allows even more room for you to stretch out inside. The next generation version isn’t just a jazzed-up carbon copy of its earlier incarnation. The Prologue makes its own mark and stamps out its own identity. Side by side the new C-HR looks just that much bolder, that much more futuristic and that much smoother.

We think the Prologue is for anyone who wants to experience a small SUV with a modern, sleek design that’s kind to the environment. With plenty of room inside, as well as the maneuverability and handiness of a small SUV, city living with style is assured.

Toyota’s Europe based team, the original design team behind the first C-HR, had a brief to not only build on the positive attention received by the original but to exceed it. We think they’ve more than succeeded with this concept design. The word is that the next generation C-HR will reach Australia in as little as a few years. If the end product is true to the concept design, we’re sure fans will embrace this version and celebrate it for the forward thinking, electric wonder it is.

The C-HR has grown up and is ready to take you boldly into the future.
