Ducati 1199 Panigale S: Back to Basics

  • February 9, 2014
  • Atal Hakikat
The focus of the new motorcycle, Ducati 1199 Panigale S, from Italy is to take the driver back to where it all begun, the drive, creating that first experience of getting on the motorbike and going for your first ride, the adrenalin pumping through your system as you zoom across the track. The sleek, sharp, traditional design is a unique take on motorcycling manufacturing. The simple yet dynamic frame of the bike, along with the bold red large shapes and smooth round surfaces take on the balance of modern engineering and design, which means the driver, has more control over the bike. The Panigale S is a leading combination of elegance and power whilst maintaining an impact of safety, enhancing the qualities of performance and beauty. The introduction of LED headlights, as well as an angled steering wheel, engine and exhaust pipe and the two wheeled design has generated the way motorcycles are created and how the motorbike is used. The market is consumed with a number of motorbikes each year but the Ducati 1199 Panigale S proves you can rely on traditional design and powerful performance and still, your motorbike will remain timeless.

There have been various innovations that have helped detect the rapid nature in which a fire grows such as, fire extinguishers and fire blankets, though it seems Australia’s bushfires are growing more rapid and stronger every year. This year a new innovation has landed, 5aver is a new form of technology which can help save lives. This practical innovation consists of a flashlight and respirator in an all in one functional unit. At the scene of a fire it will activate in five seconds and filters 92% of toxins in the air. The 5aver is functional for a full five minutes, the designated time period in which a person is meant to leave a fire. It’s a compact and colourful device which comes in bright red and orange and can also be formed into many configurations and can be used in all locations in high visible areas including schools, museums and office buildings. New products such as 5aver is a solution to an ongoing development where technology is leading the way in helping save lives one invention at a time.

Platform for Arts and Creativity

  • February 9, 2014
  • Atal Hakikat
Known as the Municipal Market in north Portugal, city of Guimaraes, located is the Platform for Arts and Creativity; a structure that uses existing buildings in the city which embrace the development and lifestyle of the European culture. This institute forms the foundation for up and coming creators. The textures that are embedded in the square building are made up of metal, brass and glass which resonate with the reflection of the design which explores the comparisons between space and the square. The invention of using the square archetype is constructed with the use of space; it invites the notion of openness and creativity that structure as a whole provides. The modern design of the arts centre, envisions the ideals of expansion and growth which is a mirroring development upon Guimaraes. There are three major programme areas; art, economics and culture. Within the building there are creative labs which provide artistic outlets which relate to installations, workshops and business ideas. The Platform for Arts and Creativity exhibition centre has helped shape the way we approach art in a creative space. The modern exterior outlines the foundations of where art instillation and culture come together.

Particularly for those with dietary requirements such as Gluten intolerance or FODMAP restrictions, cooking and eating healthily can become tedious. However, it doesn’t have to be. Designed in Germany, the Thermomix is an all purpose kitchen appliance that mixes, beats, grinds, steams, cooks, whips, and weighs. The beauty of the appliance is the ease with which it processes raw ingredients, so rather than buying rice flour for instance, one could simply use the Thermomix to turn rice to flour – saving money, and guaranteeing the quality of your ingredients.

Moshi Smart

  • January 29, 2014
  • Atal Hakikat
Moshi have released something brilliant. In the past flip style cases might have protected your phone, however answering a call could be a bit of a hassle. Moshi’s SenseCover case lets you answer a call with the swipe of a finger all while the case remains closed. This is because of the cover’s tough-sensitive strip going through the front of the case, which touches the display; allowing for an easy alternative to a usually slow process.
