The Forerunner 910XT by Garmin has captured the attention of Triathletes, after being prominently displayed at the Triathalon World Championships in Korea in October 2011. This latest breakthrough in technology is the only all-in-one GPS-enabled device that provides detailed measurement solutions for swim metrics and tracks distance, pace, elevation and heart rate for running and cycling.
With a functional, slim profile and comfortable wrist band, the 91XT features a simple to read display with customizable fields.
For swimming, the 910XT is designed for both open water and pools: proving water resistant for up to 50metres. It offers extensive swim metrics; including swim distance and pool length as well as stroke identification and count.
The 910XT is adaptable for the quick transfers that Triathletes demand. It moves easily from wrist to handlebar with the optional quick release and bike mounts. The auto multisport button will also allow you to switch sport modes in a matter of seconds, providing more accurate time scores for each separate sport or activity.
The new training tool; Virtual Racer(TM), is another excellent feature included in the 910XT, challenging athletes to race their previous times. It accounts for varying speeds and real-time conditions, giving more precise time scores for the wearer.
Later, the user can transfer the data to their Mac(R) or PC when in range through wireless technology, and analyse their performance in Garmin Connect.
