P&O Cruise ship getaways offer more than a 10 day trip out at sea towards the tropical islands with convenient shopping experiences, relaxing afternoons by the pool on the deck chairs and a lively list of social events and entertainment nights. They also offer five-star dining with four-course meals every night of your cruise ship experience, all the meals on the menu are perfectly presented and different to anything you can find at any restaurant.

Depending on which cruise you decide to take, your dining options differ. Particular cruises such as the Pacific Jewel, Pacific Pearl and Pacific Dawn there is a variety of special venues offered which cater to selected and booked groups of people as well as on-board Chef Special options. On any cruise throughout the day you are able to have breakfast, lunch, an early dinner or snack before the 6pm meal in the formal dining area.

In the venue where the main nightly meal is held (each cruise has a different name for this dining area), the menus are presented to your table from one of your two personal waiters/waitresses, then cooked by the chef and presented to you quite quickly. You have the option of selecting how many courses you want your meal to be, most guests choose one entre, two mains and a dessert to finish with. The meal choices are not your typical meals either, some include snails like the French eat, gourmet pasta dishes and extravagant desserts piled to the top of the plate are all available to choose from every night of your trip. On the final night though, some sort of over the top dessert (like a baked alaska cake) is brought out in the style of a performance with all the waiters and waitresses involved, with fire displays and dancing put into the act for the guests. It’s quite a show and an entertaining experience just eating on these cruise ships.
