In every woman’s wardrobe, no matter what their age, lifestyle or their personal taste, you will be sure to find at least one LBD (little black dress) in there. A few months ago saw the LWD (little white dress) seeming to be the alternative to the classic black piece, though in the latest fashion forecasts a new addition has been added to these classics. It is the new look, LND (little nude dress).
The LND seems to have blossomed in the wardrobes of the most fashion savvy celebrities with a number of them by the likes of; Blake Lively, Kim Kardashian and Alexa Chung, all being snapped at various events wearing the new ‘it’ dress.
Though nude may not always be the most flattering of colours for your figure or for your skin tone, there is such a variety of the LND available in boutiques all over, your favourite designer flagship stores, fashion forward markets, online shopping stores, vintage versions in op-shops and online vintage stores as well as in almost every chain store that you can possibly think of. It will be harder for you to NOT find your perfect LND.
As the LND can sometimes have a simple cut and plain look, be sure to experiment with accessories with texture and colour to highlight your best points and add some life to the nude tone. Accessorise with blacks and charcoals for a classy approach, mochas and coffee colours for a slightly more sophisticated yet casual look, or bright classic reds that will really add the ‘wow’ factor to your nude toned outfit.
Keep in mind that there are many shades of nude and picking the right one is essential so that you don’t wash yourself out and look plainly dull. If your have cool undertones in your skin with light coloured features then you should option for nude tones in a peachy, blush or slightly rose coloured tone. If you have warmer undertones in your skin then you should option for complimenting nude tones of soft, oyster coloured tones.
