What a way to save on electricity. This handy-dandy gadget will save you from the frustrating alert of a low battery.

The powermonkey eXplorer is light weight and perfect for travelling. All it needs is access to the sun’s rays to charge, giving you the ability to plug it in to your mp3 device (iPod), camera or mobile phone, anywhere around the world.

The included solar slave (as seen in above photograph), a mini solar panel, connects to the powermonkey-eXplorer to charge which then in turn charges your devices. You can also charge the powermonkey-eXplorer using a USB device or the accompanied mains charger.
The solar-slave is also water resistant and made from rubberised casing, making it the lightest and most versatile charger available today.
The powermonkey eXplorer features and LCD screen that is able to display battery capacity and the level of charge. It also obtains short-circuit protection and overcharging protection.

The powermonkey eXplorer features a mini USB for motorolas and Blackberries, a USB for smart phones, PDA’s, and iPod connector and a Sony PSP connection. As well as most digital camera connector cables, it comes with tips for Nokia, Siemens and Sony Ericsson mobiles.

The powermonkey is perfect for travellers as it compacts all of your camera, phone and iPod chargers into one, compact device. This enables you to travel to areas with minimal electricity access, with the comfort of knowing your devices will remain charged.
