When Robert Yearsley; a Robotics and Artificial Intelligence professional, purchased an iPad to use as a productivity tool and found himself still reaching for his laptop, he decided to do something about it. Looking at the pen-space, he realised the reason that pen technology doesn’t work well is because we all treat our snazzy iPad’s like a mundane piece of paper. He believed it to be time we scrapped the paper metaphor, and found a solution for effective collaboration that utilised their advanced technological capabilities. Just 12 months later, the Sydney-based team of Robert Yearsley, Navdeep Saini and Sumeet Patel are launching the answer: Collusion app.

Collusion app is a cloud-based platform; comprising of an ultrasonic digital pen, receiver iPad app and cloud service behind it. The Collusion app is currently awaiting an undisclosed number of patent requests, and recently won its funding goal by a whopping $158% on Kickstarter. Work. Create. Collaborate with Collusion. The Collusion team aspired to create a compelling everyday productivity tool that you would reach for over regular paper and pen. It will convert your writing to typed text, and does it incredibly accurately…so it’s perfect for those with not-so-pretty handwriting. You can organise your thoughts or notes using Deep Field, by simply zooming into white space on the canvas. Together with the sophisticated palm rejection system, it’s now possible to write or draw naturally on your iPad.

Collusion app catapults group collaboration projects into the digital age. With collaboration, whatever documents or media are placed up on Collusion app canvas, they are immediately synced to co-colluders in real time, who can simultaneously “add fruit to the tree.” This process, dubbed “riffing,” eliminates friction or time-lag, and allows others to see everything collaborators do, regardless whether they’re sitting opposite you in the classroom or on a beach in the Caribbean. Collusion is proving highly popular with all types of people…from business men and women, to students, financial institutions, schools, universities and lawyers. Everyone who is introduced to Collusion has found different ways to work with it that is beneficial to their work routine or study. With Collusion, more meaningful notes and documents are possible .

The Collusion app is currently compatible with iPad 2 and up. The Collusion team are looking to bring the app to other tablets in the future. For more information on Collusion app, visit their website https://collusionapp.com/
