Noritake has done it again, this time with Japanese (Shinnichi) inspired Komon Collection!

A truly authentic collection of porcelain tableware from Noritake is the cause of celebration.

Komon is designed and made in Japan, which follows a traditional Japanese method with a modern twist.

The FIVE has always been significantly important in Japanese culture in terms of food and dining.

This is commonly referred to as ‘The Power of Five’ in Japan and its said to teach us that food should be enjoyed with all five senses.

Noritake’s dinnerware Komon Collection is sold in sets of five and follows the rule that dinner plates should embrace one or more of five colours; white, black, red, green and yellow.

The design of Komon upholds the traditions in every aspect of aesthetics.

KOMON COLLECTION KOMON COLLECTION

It comes in a range of five patterns –

YAGASURI – a pattern that signifies steadfastness and determinations.

ISHIDATAMI – a chequerboard pattern that has been used for many years in different variations/colours.

SEIGAIHA – a representation of “blue ocean waves” as a symbol of peace, luck and fortune.

KANOKI SHIBORI – small dot patterns produced bby the ancient art of resist-dyeing.

ASANOHA – geometric design of hemp leaves – an important symbol in japan representing growth and good health.

Intricate, beautifully patterned in black and white, the Noritake dinnerware Komon Collection is the perfect canvas for soups, salads, pasta and deserts.
