Switch to Sit-Stand Desks and Improve Your Health

Sit-Stand Desks have become increasingly popular over recent years, as more people are aware of the consequences of sitting for long periods of time.

Health experts have warned people of the risks that frequent sitting for over six hours a day can increase the risk of heart disease and obesity.

Millions of people around the world sit down for six hours or more which could be potentially harming their bodies more than they know.

Here are some disturbing facts just to give you an idea of how serious we are talking!

Heart disease is increased by up to 64 per cent, shaving off seven years of quality life.

You’re also more at risk of developing certain types of cancer.

So with the bad news out of the way, preventing this from happening is simple. Switch from sitting to standing.

In order to counteract your sitting time, its suggested you stand for an equal amount of hours to sitting. Spend three hours seated and three standing.

This can be simply achieved with ergonomic adjustable sit-stand desk, which will allow you to stand comfortably while working.

Most modern versions of sit-stand desks are completely adjustable so you can simply switch between sitting and standing.

Once you make the switch you wont go back! You will notice productivity enhances and say goodbye to backaches.

Some other health benefits sit-stand desks could improve include; lowers the risk of weight gain/obesity, lower blood sugar levels, lowers risk of heart disease, reduces back and body aches, improves mood and energy, boosts productivity.

Standing is generally better for humans overall, but we just don’t do it enough, if you feel like you could improve or prevent any of the above problems why not try a sit-stand desk and put it to the test!
