Edwin was the denim brand that began the ‘Made in Japan’ denim movement. The brand was founded in 1947 by denim obsessed Mr Tsunemi.
He started importing worn, used jeans from the US, then customising them by hand for a growing clientele. By 1961, Edwin had created his own line of denim, and with an excellent and intricate attention to detail, it is today regarded as one of the best product lines in the world.
Even to this day, Edwin continues to be made in Japan, and in Tunisia for the European collection, and is renowned for its wonderful fabric, sophisticated washes, and unique details.
