Each year up to eight million metric tons of plastic is dumped into the oceans, equalling to about 17.6 billion pounds. If humanity does not take action in protecting and cleaning our oceans by the year 2050, ocean plastic will outweigh all of the ocean’s fish. A couple from Sydney, however, are giving everyday people the opportunity to make a difference with an everyday item to build a better environment for our future generations.
