For those of us not lucky enough to possess the luxury of possessing a photographic memory, technology has always been a helpful partner in recording those special (and sometimes embarrassing) moments of our lives. From the advent of the photographic camera and the moving picture in the 19th Century, collecting, creating and sharing momentos have since become an integral part of modern society. Although for some, technology may have been moving a little too fast for comfort.

With the recent switch from analog to digital, and the continual proliferation of new products, some memories may have been left behind… deteriorating with the passing of time. The folk at Kaiser Baas however, have provided the perfect remedy.

Kaiser Baas have been in the business of bringing old memories back to life since 2006. Having been the first company to bring digital photo frames to Australia, Kaiser Baas haven’t stopped there.

The Kaiser Baas DVD Maker is an ingenious product that converts any stack of old VHS videos into compact digital data. All packs come with all the tools needed to connect your video player, with your video inside, to your PC or Mac via an Audio/Video cable. The provided Kaiser Baas Magix Video Software then allows for DVD burning, and video and audio editing.

Similarly, the iPad PhotoScanner allows for photos or documents to be scanned and stored onto iPads in 300 dpi resolution through docking the iPad into one slim and convenient device. Vinyl collections are also catered for through the Vinyl Converter, which translates vinyl records and audio cassettes into MP3 or WAV formats.

Converting from analog to digital further opens up the vast potential for sharing with family and friends, including direct uploading to Youtube and Facebook. The simplicity of each device ensures that use is effortless by all ages.

Thanks to Kaiser Baas, some serious nostalgia is going to be let loose here at The Zine.
But not to worry, we’ve got our tissues and popcorn armed and ready.
