Peugeot 3008 SUV

Like all European cars the Peugeot 3008 SUV has its quirks, but it has set the new benchmark for its division. It has immediate visual impact, incredible technology, and delightful interiors.

Since its launch, the Peugeot 3008 SUV has won more than 30 international awards, including the prestigious 2017 European Car of the Year Award. The Peugeot 3008 SUV has impressed judges all around the world thanks to its dynamic qualities, stylish exterior, equipment, interior design and its innovative Peugeot i-Cockpit®.

The exterior and interior design is enough to be striking, but not overdone. Stylish chrome details and full LED headlights add to its sleek, feline features. The Black Diamond roof and gloss black rear panel incorporates the signature Peugeot claw effect lights that make the car bold but not unnecessarily loud.

The 3008 has a practical and spacious cabin to fit the family and all your gear, while remaining small enough for easy handling and city driving. The centre console features an intuitive 8-in touch screen, which connects to Apple Carplay, and delightfully sci-fi flip switches.

It’s a reasonably economic investment boasting 7L/100km to run its 121kW THP turbo petrol engine which boasts a high level of torque even in low gears.

The Peugeot 3008 is more than a vehicle, it’s a pleasure to drive. The six speed transmission ensures a smooth, quiet ride and its active safety technology keeps you feeling secure in your drive with Active Safety Braking and Distance Alert system to reduce collisions. Driver assist technology lets you sit back as the car practically drives itself. It reads speed signs and accelerates and brakes accordingly with minimal adjustment required from you.

As amazing as its driving capabilities are, the standard model missed out on Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) and, for a car released in 2017, this seems like an oversight. Another con would be its three-year warranty. New car buyers want more assurance in the longevity of their vehicle and the short cover and average servicing fees are a bit of a hitch for the price.

Despite minor hang-ups, the Peugeot 3008 SUV is amazing value for money. Although more suited for life in urban and suburban environments, it rides and looks like a dream. Plus it can fit everything in it for those weekend getaways. What more could you want from a car?
