The new era of electro-mobility has begun, as the BMW group releases the launch of the brand new BMW iX3. The latest model features numerous benefits and advanced technology, whilst still representing the BMW brand’s first, original electric model. The iX3 is sure to be the smartest, most stylish and sophisticated BMW yet.

About the BMW iX3

The latest BMW model comes absolutely boasting with fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology, the most powerful high-voltage batteries yet, and a 440km range in the preliminary data test cycle. The iX3 also integrates the staple, key components of the model including an electric engine, power electronics and transmission in a central housing.

The progressive solution can actually reduce all installation space and mass of the drive technology relative, to further output whilst still adding flexibility for fitting the powertrain to other models. The debut of the iX3 model also leads to the start of a dynamic rollout of pure electric BMW models. These pure electric models including the BMW i4 and the BMW iNEXT, both of which will launch next year in 2021.

BMW iX3

The launch of the BMW iX3 also represents a special and significant leap forward in the company’s ‘Power of Choice’ strategy. BMW now offers combustion, hybrid and fully-electric powertrain options for the first time ever in the BMW X3 Sports Activity Vehicle.

Electric car benefits:

  • Better for the environment, using renewable energy and puts less pollution into the air.
  • Cheaper to run, money can be saved charging rather than filling up tanks with petrol.
  • Easier and cheaper to maintain, little work and servicing needs to be done, car batteries should be replaced around each eight years.

BMW electric models

Electric cars are a way of the future, with BMW already having two successful electric models, the BMW i3 and BMW i3s. These models run purely on electricity, therefore showing consistency in sustainability and locally emission-free vehicles. The BMW brand is certainly making it clear that they stand for tomorrow’s mobility. The BMW i3 has an excellent range of features including the incredible ability to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds. The electric model also has up to 260 km of daily electric use range,  combining incredible driving dynamics with the most modern technology of today.

“The BMW brand certainly makes it clear that they stand for tomorrow’s mobility”.

The particular BMW model can transmit power instantly, and when in sport mode the car will react quickly and more directly, depending on sufficient battery charge.  The car charges 80 percent of its high-voltage battery at a charging station for 45 minutes. The car’s clever energy management makes it a flexible and highly efficient vehicle in both, city traffic and on longer trips. Equipped with an effortlessness that thrills you through sustainable materials and functional details.
