Mercedes-Benz recently unveiled the Mercedes-Benz E-Class 2017, which is to be slated for release in Spring 2016. Although scaled below the S-Class, the 2017 E-Class is more technologically advanced. The Mercedes Benz E-Class is a trendsetter packed with passive and reactive safety features that make it seem like it belongs more in a science fiction film than real life.

The E-Class’ Pre-Safe sound system astonishingly activates a biological response to protect its occupants from hearing damage in the event of a crash. The E-Class is programmed to emit a specific sound that triggers contractions in the passengers’ ears to shield them from the intensity of the noise of collision. A mid-size sedan such as the Mercedes Benz E-Class is the perfect blend of luxury craftsmanship and family-ideal safety features. The 2017 E-Class is the next step towards fully autonomous vehicles and is able to steer itself automatically in certain situations as well as being able to be steered into narrow parking spaces by a mobile phone app.

Other amazing features include smart phone key access and the ability to take over steering, acceleration and braking. The E-Class is able to follow other cars at speeds up to 200kph. At 130kph it doesn’t need clear lane markings to operate as it’s able to scan the environment around it including the alignment of other cars and buildings to stay in the ideal position on the road. The Mercedes Benz 2017 E-Class’ Speed Limit Pilot increases driver safety by automatically detecting and adjusting to the speed limit by reading road signs or detecting speed zones that have been programmed into its navigation system.

The Mercedes Benz E-Class takes the stress out of driving with its Active Brake Assist feature which detects emergency situations and responds accordingly by warning its driver. The car to car communication system is a state of the art development that allows Mercedes Benz E-Class vehicles to warn each other of potential safety hazards on the road. Mercedes-Benz has redefined the science of motoring and set the standard for automobile technology in the future of automated driving and advanced safety. Its boundary-pushing advancements in the release of the 2017 E-Class has reinforced Mercedes’ position as the undisputed leader of luxury and technology at the highest level.
