The concept of wireless charging appeared for a very long time like merely an abstract sci-fi contraption, but dream no more because Cygnett’s Magmount Qi charger is here and sporting these seemingly magical wireless charging capabilities.

Ease of utility doesn’t get much better than your standard plug and play, a tried, tested and widely loved method practised across the tech engineering world, and the MagMount is no exception. Simply pin it to one of your cars air vents, plug it into your cigarette lighter, attach the magnetic ring to your device (provided you haven’t got a metal backing already, in which case just go for gold!) and you’re good to go! The secure attachment and strong magnetic hold keep your phone in place and safe from slipping under the seat or onto the floor (a mistake I’ve certainly had to manoeuvre around before) even when on the toughest terrains.

The contraption itself takes up little room, is extraordinarily practical and easy to use, and in fact, has a quite aesthetic and sleek look, especially if the interior of your car is the standard black/grey. It allows for 360-degree pivoting rotation for your orientation needs as well as the simplicity and convenience of just being able to “grab and go” without the requirement of taking out or untangling cables. With the very latest in certified Qi 7.5W wireless charging technology, the MagMount nullifies the need for cables and allows for fast and easy charging so you can stay connected on the go.

The pocket-rocket of a compact charger comes in at around $89.95 AUD and is available at selected retailers. The MagMount is compatible with most current Qi Wireless enabled smartphones including the Apple iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X and most Samsung devices.
