Orla Kiely, London-based Irish fashion designer, has moved from designing hats to a domestic design goddess.
Her latest addition to loveable looking things in the home, is a new funky and retro version of well-established radios, Pure Evoke Mio. Pure is the world’s leading manufacturer of wireless music and internet radio systems as well as being the number one supplier of digital radio systems in Europe and Australia.
The design follows Orla’s trademark look of charming print patterns that are nostalgic of ice cream cones during the summer in high waisted polkadot bikinis, along with a mirror chromed folding handle and a veneered walnut cabinet. Although the design may be more popular with the ladies, the Pure radio system will nevertheless satisfy all music lovers. The radio uses DAB and FM tuners and is decked with all the necessary features – a stereo output, headphone connection, auxiliary input, rechargeable battery, Intellitext and textSCAN, a striking auto-dimming OLED display, an alarm, a kitchen timer and a USB connector for future product upgrades.
For such an affordable price, this sonic gem is hard to resist. Have a look at the range here.
