For years, Google has been a household name, even becoming a verb in today’s lexicon, but now Google has continued to change the world by introducing their new Pixel 4, a phone made the Google way. Google’s new Pixel 4 is quickly sweeping into the Australian market and putting all other smartphone brands to shame. With its revolutionary technology, features, and mind-blowing quality, the Pixel 4 is the new phone on the block.
Today, taking the perfect picture is a game changer. The Pixel 4 is what I call a photographer’s phone, as it is jam-packed with features and technology to capture the perfect photo. Firstly, the Pixel’s new camera is the biggest upgrade for Google yet, and is actually two cameras – one being a telephoto lens. If you’re not camera savvy, a telephoto lens is a long-focus-lens and can capture stunning photos from far distances. Furthermore, the Pixel has Super Res Zoom software, essentially turning your phone camera into a telescope, able to capture photos in the perfect quality from a distance. An amazing camera feature Google has included is Night Sight. With Night Sight, your camera can take photos in the dark without a flash, but still lighting the surroundings enough to see the photo. This means that taking photos of a beautiful full moon or a sky full of stars is possible, and they look amazing.
While these features are productive and innovative, what’s the point of them if my phone doesn’t have an outstanding battery life? Fortunately, Google has thought of this with the Pixel 4 and have included an all-day battery life, allowing you to use your new phone at your heart’s desire without fear that it will drop dead. The Pixel 4 even learns and keeps track of which apps you use the most, therefore reducing power to the apps you don’t use very often.
Another revolutionary feature is the Pixel 4’s Motion Sense. This feature is super helpful as it will sense when you’re reaching for your phone, therefore initiating face unlock. It can even sense when you’re not around and will turn your screen off and save battery life. With a wave of your hand, you can also control your phone with Quick Gestures. This means you can stop timers, snooze alarms, and skip songs. This technology is what I imagined for the future and can make multitasking a lot easier.
So, we’ve established that the Pixel 4 is a revolution, but how does it look? The Pixel is available in Clearly White, Just Black, and the standout Oh So Orange (limited edition). The Pixel also has a sleek design and large screen without any bulkiness and will sit in your jean’s pocket comfortably.
Google’s Pixel 4 is now available for pre-order or can be purchased from the 24th of October from all major technology retailers, with the prices ranging from RRP $1,049 for the Pixel 4, and from RRP $1,279 for the Pixel 4 XL. But be sure grab it quick, because I believe that Google’s new Pixel 4 will be flying off the shelves.
