Lexus’s new addition is the Lexus Urban Crossover or UX for short. The Lexus UX compact SUV is a powerful and advanced European model and includes an immense amount of features for Lexus’s smallest SUV yet. The UX is the car for the younger generation, with its modern design and powerful technology.

The exterior of the UX comes in a wide variety of colours, with the usual silvers, blacks, and whites. However, the UX also comes in a variety of fun metallic colours such as Celetrail Blue, Khaki Metal, and Caliente Red, with a surprising colour of Deep Metallic Bronze. The interior also comes in three colours: Black, White Ash, and Rich Cream.

The interior of the UX is smart and agile, feeling welcoming and roomy. The interior takes out any bulkiness and clutter that is commonly seen with other compact SUVs and replaces it with a minimalist vibe. The UX’s multimedia screen displays SatNav and Live Traffic technology, which is a blessing during heavy traffic on a long commute. The console also includes two USB ports for charging your devices, and voice recognition technology so you can keep your eyes on the road. The centre console also includes switches and buttons to control audio. These controls are smoothly integrated with the palm rest, letting you control your music by barely lifting a finger. The material of the seats is smooth and comfortable, letting your passengers sit back and relax during a long trip. Available on the Sports Luxury model of the UX, Lexus has included a hands-free sensor for the boot. This allows you to carry two armfuls of groceries and not have to worry about how to get it into the car. Just swipe your foot under the bumper and the boot just lifts up automatically.

The drive of the UX is unmatchable by any other SUV on the market. The car is easy and smooth to manoeuvre and corners cleanly. The car is surprisingly agile and can handle twisty and curvy roads with ease. The cornering ability is even further benefited from the Active Cornering Assist, which keeps an eye on how the car approaches curves and monitors the braking to suppress understeer. The handling of the car is contributed to its many fantastic safety features that make driving a lot safer. For example, the UX includes a collision safety system, which detects if a collision is imminent and prepares by attempting to reduce any dangerous factors. Lexus also has developed automatic high beams, which detects whether another automobile is approaching and will dim the high beams automatically. This takes the worry of accidentally leaving your high beams on a thing of the past.

If you’re looking for an exciting new compact SUV that’s sleek, powerful, and modern, Lexus might be what you’re looking for. The brand has been a household name for years and gets people excited by just hearing it. Theses a reason for this, and the Lexus 2019 UX shows us why. If you are in the market for a small compact SUV then take the UX for a test drive.
