IC Berlin design and produce patented uniquely designed eyewear made of screw less sheet metal. IC Berlin glasses are known for their ingenious frames, which incorporate a clip-on hinge system that holds the frame together with a detachable clip. IC Berlin glasses are different in that they do not have solder or screw points. Glasses are able to be disassembled and reassembled by hand with no tools required, resulting in flexible medical grade stainless steel glasses that are on trend and virtually unbreakable. Even more remarkably, IC Berlin glasses allow for individual components to be replaced as needed due to its fit-together design.

The high end eyewear label founded in 1999 by Ralph Anderl and two friends had a humble start in a small apartment in Berlin. Having had no prior business experience or education the trio attributed their success to their ability to view everything from a completely raw perspective, which allowed them to take risks. From there it quickly expanded to neighbouring apartments before settling in Backfabrik in 2005 where the flagship store still remains to this day. It didn’t take long for the brand to garner international acclaim for its innovative design and distinctive Berlin style. Quirky, edgy, chic but with uncompromising quality and design, the glasses showcase advanced German technology and manufacturing to its fullest potential. The IC Berlin range caters to both the fashion conscious and comfort seekers.

IC Berlin eyewear range features a number of different lines. The IC Berlin Urban model is a prismatic style that is neither round nor rectangular. The intelligent, sophisticated style defies classification and is for those who are drawn to exceptional design. In contrast the IC Berlin Blue Wave is more playful and angular. These glasses were made for faces with prominent features that would be better offset by a sharp frame. IC Berlin Nameless has more of a bold, round shape that suits those who favour structured, tailored styles. IC Berlin also produce sunglasses and reading glasses with the same technical precision and handcrafted care so that everyone can enjoy quality glasses with great value.
