Cosmetic Surgery Red Flags

  • July 28, 2015
  • Atal Hakikat
Cosmetic surgery is fraught with red flags and potentially fatal or irreversible risks. It’s not something that can or should be done without extensive research and mental, emotional and physical preparation. At Australia’s largest cosmetic surgery provider, The Cosmetic Institute, patients are the first priority. With the appointment of registered psychologist Maria Faustino, The Cosmetic Institute is taking further steps to ensure patients are mentally and emotionally equipped to undergo surgery. Faustino consults with patients in TCI’s state of the art Internationally Accredited clinics in Sydney from her office in Sydney’s CBD.

The Cosmetic Institute Raises Cosmetic Surgery Standards

  • July 27, 2015
  • Atal Hakikat
Cosmetic surgery is one of the fastest growing types of medical procedures in Australia. The Cosmetic Institute’s new initiative set the standard for better practices in the cosmetic surgery industry in Australia by welcoming its first appointed psychologist Maria Faustino of the Marquee Health Club. As Australia’s largest cosmetic surgery provider, the Cosmetic Institute is putting its industry clout to good use by calling for more support and guidance for cosmetic surgery patients. Along with other industry authorities that are beseeching patients to “Think Over Before you Make Over”, Maria Faustino’s role with Cosmetic Institute is to ensure that patients are mentally and emotionally fit to undergo cosmetic surgery.

Getting the right support for back pain

  • July 23, 2015
  • Atal Hakikat
Chronic back pain is a daily reality for me. Like many others, my back pain started from something small – carrying heavy backs, lifting boxes in the wrong way, sitting with bad posture and playing sports. The symptoms of wear and tear on my body (even though these days I mostly spend my time hunched over a computer at work) are starting to get steadily worse. From sudden bouts of painful back spasms to a dull niggling ache, on good days I’ve learned to just ignore it and on bad days I don’t want to get out of bed. I’m always stretching and contorting myself in strange positions to help keep my back loose and stop it from locking up so I was particularly pleased to hear that Thuasne had launched its range of orthopaedic support in Australia.
