Natural Light Makes for Happier, More Productive Employees
Natural light is the easiest, most cost-effective way to boost well-being and productivity in the work place. Scientists are only just beginning to uncover the vast psychological effect the environment has on us and light is the biggest environmental stimulus of all. From our sleep/wake cycles to mental alertness, hormones and mood, the presence of natural light and lack of it has an immense effect on our quality of life. Natural light is essential for healthy bodies and minds, has antibacterial properties and makes small spaces seem larger and more airy.

There are becoming more and more offices that are beginning to offer their employees a better working environment. Most are as you would suspect, creative IT companies such as Google, Twitter, Facebook and Skype whilst others are involved in some sort of animation and graphics like Pixar and Cartoon Network. All of these are known for the way that they cater to their employees, doing the unimaginable extras that will make them each feel relaxed, at home and enjoying their time in the office. Offices like these also hold an image and reputation that creates a vision of what clients and visitors expect to see in the office when there.

The Social and Physical Working Environment
Most of us have full-time jobs or a head office that we visit at least three to five times a week, many hours are spent here over time, we are surrounded by an environment that can either enhance a positive mood or lead to a negative one. This is why it is so important for us to not only love what we do but also enjoy the hours we spend in the office.
