The Glass Brasserie at Hilton Sydney recently launched a new Bottomless Late Breakfast offering.

The breakfast, with a (boozy) twist, is available every Saturday from 10am – 12:30pm. Costing $49 per person, it includes bottomless barista coffee, Mimosas and Bloody Marys in addition to a breakfast buffet — also bottomless!

This popped up in my email on my way to work. I admit I was quite intrigued. As a Sydney-sider, I love a good breakfast/brunch to start my day. And the Hilton’s all-you-can eat meal seemed like a pretty great way to begin my weekend.

Curious, I decided to book it up for my wife and I to try. Filling out a booking form, it was easy enough to secure a much sought-after spot at the breakfast.

After finding a parking spot provided by the Hilton, we arrived at the Glass Brasserie. There was an excited atmosphere as we waited to get our seats, and we got more excited the longer we waited.

With my credit card ready, we entered the buffet.

As expected, it was a beautiful meal (and satisfying drinks too!). We started with coffee but soon moved onto the alcoholic beverages.

The service was exquisite, as was the view — we could see the Queen Victoria Building perfectly through the vast floor-to-ceiling windows at the Grass Brasserie.

We were told Kruno Velican was the chef for the breakfast. I looked him up afterwards and discovered he was a famous chef, having served a Saudi Arabian prince once. Now he was serving me and my wife!

I usually have quite a big appetite — I help people out if they can’t finish their meals. But this buffet certainly was bottomless. I left feeling very full and also very content.

There was a different kind of excitement as the crowd was leaving — an excitement to come back, to taste the food and sip the drinks all over again!

The Glass Brasserie has a Christmas-themed breakfast on at the moment. The tables are apparently decorated table with Christmas treats including mince tarts, and also has bon bons and a Christmas centrepiece. My wife has already started picking another Saturday to come in.

In fact, the Glass Brasserie is hosting a breakfast on Christmas morning itself. The offer is tempting…
