Nike Reveals Future Self-Lacing HyperAdapt Sneakers

Nike has officially confirmed the power lacing shoes we once saw in the film Back to the Future, will be released on 28th November 2016.

Nike first introduced the auto-lacing HyperAdapt 1.0 trainer back in March this year manifesting the unimaginable.

HyperAdapt designer Tinker Hadfield promised the shoes would mimic the kicks from Back to the Future, and they have succeeded with bringing it to life.

The designer also spoke of his excitement for the project saying “We’re talking about a project that’s maybe the most difficult in the history of footwear… I’m more excited about this than any project I’ve ever been involved with.”

The lacing system has a sensor system that was engineered to adapt to the wearers foot and automatically tighten.

“When you step in, your heel will hit a sensor and the system will automatically tighten,” explains Tiffany Beers, Nike Senior Innovator.

To tighten and loosen, use two buttons on the side of the shoe – plain simple!

Athletes will benefit hugely with the adaptive lacing, it provides tailored-to-the-moment custom fit, and knows exactly what the body needs in real time.

In short, Nike HyperAdapt is the start of something very special, it’s the first step into the future of adaptive performance.
